American Southwest Gallery
One might hesitate before trying to shoot the American Southwest, after all few parts of North America have been shot so well by so many. But the same features that have drawn so many before me also drew me.
On my first visit it took days before I could really comprehend what I was seeing. The scale was so much larger than I was used to, and the palette was so unfamiliar, that I felt I did not know how to look at things.
My favourite location had to be Antelope Canyon, with its sinuous, twisting shapes and the amazing things that happen to the light as makes its way to the bottom between the red rock walls.
