This beautiful photograph shows a slice of natural rock called charoite. It has been polished, but is otherwise just as the earth produced it, without any added colour. This particular piece looks to me like a bush growing in a turbulent stream.

Charoite comes from the Murun mountains in Siberia. It is not found anywhere else in the world. The name Charoite comes from the Russian word "Chary", which refers to charms and magic.
